Don't believe a thing!
It seems that many journalists
wouldn't know a truth if it jumped up and bit them. So they are
quite useful for spreading "information" favourable to ... well you can
guess.
On the other hand, there are still some who work at uncovering the
facts, and checking them in the "old fashioned" way. It is quite
important that these
criminals are educated
that some things are off
limits. Completely unacceptable
to know
about facts.
And the government wants some inquests
to be held in secret? Just how much easier would it have been if the de
Menenzes details had been covered with, you know, a little less
brashness. But one coroner has decided that enough
is enough.
We must learn to read "between the lines", to note relevant omissions,
and to be sufficiently well informed that we can "connect the dots".

NEW! - Branch Office!
Yokel has recently established a Branch Office, where this blog can also be found. Thanks to Yokel's distant (non-)relation in parts further east
http://yokel.mail15.su will have a copy. Until Yokel manages to learn all the tricks of the trade, the version at http://yokel.mail15.su might be a day or several behind.

About Yokel
English born and bred, but now an outsider in this "Land Fit for Heros" that his parent's generation fought and died for.
Frustrated that no-one can seem to change the long term goals of our rulers!
This fine figure of a man could be my Great Uncle Yokel. The picture was found in East Anglia where the likeness had been prepared by Barré Funnell, and realised by Anne Funnell.
He could even have been the English Yokel who is reported to have said: "Sometimes I sits and thinks, but mostly I just sits" .
Blame Yokel
Needless to say, Yokel asserts his rights over all his original content. He will try to credit material borrowed from others. If he slips up, please let him know, and he will correct it post haste. Copyright and intellectual property belong to Yokel.
