Don't believe a thing!

It seems that many journalists wouldn't know a truth if it jumped up and bit them. So they are quite useful for spreading "information" favourable to ... well you can guess.

On the other hand, there are still some who work at uncovering the facts, and checking them in the "old fashioned" way. It is quite important that these criminals are educated that some things are off limits. Completely unacceptable to know about facts.

And the government wants some inquests to be held in secret? Just how much easier would it have been if the de Menenzes details had been covered with, you know, a little less brashness. But one coroner has decided that enough is enough.

We must learn to read "between the lines", to note relevant omissions, and to be sufficiently well informed that we can "connect the dots".
