One upon a time, long, long ago ....

Once upon a time, long, long ago (well, its receding into a distant memory), this United Kingdom knew right from wrong. The country tried, to the best of its flawed ability to do what it understood to be right. Flawed, because we are all sinners in the sight of the one true God.

In that time we paid attention to what God said was right and wrong, as set out in His Word.

Now it is just like the times of the Judges, when every man did that which was right in his own eyes. [Second occurrence of same phrase]. There is no understanding of what is right and wrong, just what is expedient for the moment.

Yokel's been sitting a lot, and thinking as much as he can bear. And he doesn't like his conclusions. God, have mercy on the people of this country, please have mercy.

Abortion and animal/human hybrids provoked this post, but there is plenty of evidence all around that not only has the nation deliberately abandoned the way of the one true God, it seems now to be set on a determined course to antagonise Him.

God, have mercy.
