The occasional bit of fun
Yes, fun seems to be missing from Yokel's world at present. But he could
not help but chortle at this line in a
comment at Inspector Gadget: "I buy apple doughnuts for the health
concious. Do apple doughnuts count as one of your five a day?"

This fine figure of a man could be my Great Uncle Yokel. The picture was found in East Anglia where the likeness had been prepared by Barré Funnell, and realised by Anne Funnell.
He could even have been the English Yokel who is reported to have said: "Sometimes I sits and thinks, but mostly I just sits" .
