As we slide further downhill

Yokel doesn't venture to the Daily Mail all that often, for he cannot stand the unremitting pace with which the United Kingdon of his parents' generation is being destroyed by the current political opportunists. The Mail is the mainstream media's closest to understanding what is going on.

Let's just look at half a dozen items with direct links from the front page today.

Jack Straw tells his officials to do one thing, and then sacks them when the outcome (two murders) gets public disapproval. OK, so Jack Straw is a liar. Yokel could have told them that from Jack Straw's days as President of the National Union of Students.

Yokel had better become a pikey if he wants medical treatment on the NHS this side of Armageddon.

The institution of Islam as the State Religion comes ever closer. For the first time in Great Britain (as opposed to Northern Ireland) prisoners are being segregated along religious lines. It appears that the Muslims didn't get their separate wing at first trying. Yokel reckons they will be back again, and again until they do! How long before they try for "political prisoner" or "prisoner of war" status, just like the IRA before them!

The London Borough of Islington continues its victimisation of honest Bible believing Christian employees. The only consolation is that Jesus said it was coming. Stand firm.

John Bercow is bribing the greedy pigs in Parliament to vote for him as Speaker by proclaiming that Bercow wants to see MPs on £100,000 pa salary. Why should we pay that much for a Rubber Stamp? Who else "leaked" that letter that the Mail got hold of? If the pigs vote for him, then its time to start planning an "Anyone But Bercow" candidate at the next general election.

And then Peter Hitchins reports the widespread belief that the Presidency of Europe is already stitched up for a Mr Anthony Chales Linton Blair, formerly Prime Minister of the Province formerly known as the United Kingdom. And has a valid swipe at one or two other things as well.

Why does bread and circuses spring to mind?

Thank goodness the pubs are open.

UPDATE

Yokel missed Daniel Hannon in the Telegraph explaining why Mandelslime is propping up the Brown administration. Its the EU stupid, follow the money (Mandelslime's EU pensions for a start).
