Great Britain is finished
Not with a bang, but with a whimper. Last night the Czechs caved in to
the pressure, so on 01 December 2009 the EU Constitution comes into
effect. The chief officers will be chosen behind closed doors in the
next week or two. Let us give praise to God that Gordon "Jonah" Brown's
intervention on the side of Bliar seems to have scuppered Bliar's
chances at becoming President. That just leaves the apprentice angling
for the Foreign Minister.
On 01 December 2009, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern
Ireland ceases to be a sovereign country. Yokel doesn't know how to talk
about this with his parents. The generation who fought and gave their
lives in massive numbers to avoid just this very scenario.
Yokel is ashamed of the acts taken in his name.

This fine figure of a man could be my Great Uncle Yokel. The picture was found in East Anglia where the likeness had been prepared by Barré Funnell, and realised by Anne Funnell.
He could even have been the English Yokel who is reported to have said: "Sometimes I sits and thinks, but mostly I just sits" .
